Adding your Github webpage in Google S. Console will help you to understand various matrix and Your webpage will be ranked in google with proper way. You can see all things like you see when you add your website in Google S. Console, Like where traffic is coming from ? Which country's people are showing intreats in your content product etc.
Follow the following steps to add your webpage in Google S. Console -
1. First go to Google S. Console and click 'Sites' and then from bottom click on ' Add Property'. One pop-up window will be shown where you will have to add your websites or Github page URL.
2. After adding webpage URL, click on continue and chose 'HTML tag" as a verification method. The HTML tag will be shown, which you will have to copy -
3. Once you copy your HTML tag, go to your Github account - Page repository - Index.html (file) and find your '<head>' section. Paste the HTML tag under the <head> section.
After adding HTML tag under <head> make sure you save the changes by clicking on 'Commit Changes' - And Now you are done on Github.
4. Saving changes in Github index file, come back in your Google S. Console and Hit on verification or if verification button is not available then click on done. To verify your site click on 'Sites' from left top corner and select the URL or Page which you added recently for verification. Once you select it will start verification and your page will get verified within five second.
